The A.I.R. Contest 2016

The A.I.R. Contest 2016 “Attilio Leoni”, will start at 00:00 UTC on January 2nd, 2016, and will
end at midnight UTC on January 9th, 2016. Participation is open for all radiolisteners, A.I.R.
members and non members alike. The Contest is divided into the following parts:
First part: listening to any station broadcasting from Europe-Africa (with its own transmitter or via
relay) from 0000 UTC of January 2nd to 2400 UTC of January 5th, 2016 in any language
(frequencies between 150 and 26100kHz - broadcasting bands)
Second part: listening to programmes in any language of the following stations, at any time from
January 6th at 0000UTC to January 9th, 2016, at midnight UTC (frequencies between 150 and
26100kHz - broadcasting bands)

- ARGENTINA, RAE
- AUSTRALIA, Radio Australia

AN-200 Loop Mediun Wave - il supporto - 3° puntata

Dopo le due precedenti puntate dedicate al loop AN-200, la descrizione e le prove, viste la difficoltà di accoppiare il ricevitore all'antenna sia "meccanicamente" che "elettricamente" ho ideato un supporto che mi permettesse un "accoppiamento stabile con possibilità di ruotare il tutto per direzionare il loop.

Il supporto è fatto in legno con ritagli trovati a pochi centesimi nei vari "fai da te" dal costo complessivo, di cerniera e piedini a sfera che permettono la rotazione del supporto, che non supera i 5 € e un oretta di lavoro. Le foto sono più esplicative di ogni commento.

VOA Radiogram 2-3 May NEW FREQUENCY !

Hello friends,

This weekend the VOA Radiogram broadcast Saturday at 1600-1630 UTC moves to the new frequency of 17870 kHz. This replaces 17860 kHz, which was suffering interference from Radio Exterior de España on 17855 kHz. For those of you using low cost radios with less selectivity, please let me know in 17870 kHz provides enough separation from 17855 kHz.

VOA Radiogram begins this weekend with a rather lengthy but, I hope, interesting story about a new report on world press freedom.
